The bright side

When 2020 started, like every other year before it, it did so with lots of fanfare, merriments, new year resolutions, and hope for a better life, country and world. We all know how that turned out. But while some people may best regard 2020 as a severe sh*tshow, we look back at it with a certain kind of fondness for the experience and many life lessons it afforded us. And also for the many long-existing but now so frequently used words it brought to our collective vocabularies.

Nothing is ever entirely bad and, although it may not seem that way at first glance, looking beyond the surface, more often than not, will usually reveal some of those bright spots.

What were some of the bright spots of 2020 for you? We’d love for you to reflect and hold onto those thoughts; the times during the advent of the pandemic and Lockdown(s) when face-timing with your friends made you feel a little less alone. As we journey into this new year, together, with so many uncertainties of the world hovering around us, remember these bright spots and treasure them even more. Fan the flames of hope for a better tomorrow because there will surely be one.

Cheers to a New Year, one I’m hopeful will get filled with many bright spots.
